Corporate Director of Security | Hebrew Senior Life | Boston, MA
Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL) is a 100+-year-old organization dedicated to
providing seniors with the highest quality of life through an integrated
network of health care, research, housing and teaching programs in the
Greater Boston area. It is the largest nonprofit provider of senior
health care and housing in New England. Our mission is to honor our
elders by respecting and promoting their independence, spiritual vigor,
dignity and choice and by recognizing that they are a resource to be
cherished. Our health-care network comprises Hebrew Rehabilitation
Center, a long-term, sub-acute, and long-term medical acute care
facility in Boston; three senior housing sites-Jack Satter House in
Revere, Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph, and Center Communities
of Brookline; and Orchard Cove, a life-care community in Canton. The
Institute for Aging Research in Boston, affiliated with Harvard Medical
School, is one of the most prestigious aging research facilities in the
country. HSL's NewBridge on the Charles, our premier multigenerational
continuing care retirement community in Dedham, consists of 256
independent living units, 50 assisted living units, 41 memory support
assisted living units, and a 268-bed Health Care Center, which offers
long-term and sub-acute care. Hebrew SeniorLife also offers services to
the community, including Adult Day Health programs and outpatient
clinics in audiology, exercise, memory disorders, osteoporosis
screening, and rehabilitation.
The Corporate Director of Security for Hebrew SeniorLife is responsible
for the management and operation of the following departments at Hebrew
Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale and NewBridge on the Charles in
Dedham locations: Security, campus mail, Front Desk Reception, Badging
Systems, and Transportation services. The position will oversee all
life-safety operations within the campuses. The position requires a
person with superior people skills as it involves many areas of 'high
touch'? with the staff and the residents. This position will build and
inspire a team and provide leadership those results in superior campus
services. The Corporate Director of Security will create and maintain an
environment in support of HSL's mission of supporting elders.
Qualifications:
- Must have a BA/BS in Criminal Justice or allied field
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience managing a security
operation where the duties included managing a staff and handling OSHA
requirements, staff safety training, and fire systems in a healthcare
setting required.
- Must have experience with DPH surveys and fire
regulatory areas.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience handling
transportation needs of similarly sized organization and in an industry
that directly offers services to their clients required. Experience with
state-of-the-art surveillance, security, electronic access and other
systems.
